Problem Note 31392: Description information for data set views is not displayed in the SAS Explorer or LIBNAME window

SAS Explorer and the LIBNAME window do not contain description information for data set views. If you set the -DETAILS option in the SAS® configuration file or submit the following code, SAS displays description information for data sets, but does not display description information for data set views:
options details;
To circumvent the problem, right-click the data set view in the SAS Explorer or LIBNAME window and select Properties. The description appears in the Properties window of the SAS data set view.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future release of SAS.
